Log a trade in under a minute

If logging a trade costs more than a minute, it will eventually lose to the close button. This is the fast path through an entry in reps.

You leave with An entry flow that costs less than the close button

Open the form from anywhere

The new trade action lives in the sidebar and in the command palette. Instrument, direction, size, entry and exit: the fields are ordered the way you say them out loud, and the form keeps a local draft, so an interruption never throws the entry away.

Let the numbers do the arithmetic

Result in dollars, R multiple and rule checks are derived, not typed. Pick the setup from your strategy list, answer the followed-the-plan toggle honestly, and the analytics side of the app takes it from there.

One sentence, then stop

  • Write the note while the feeling is fresh: one line about the decision, not the outcome.
  • Skip perfection: a rough honest note today beats a polished one never.
  • If the day is done, mark the day review: it feeds the streak the same as a trade.
The journal entry is the last rep of the trade, not paperwork about it.

Total cost: under a minute for the log, five for the evening review. That price fits inside any trading day, which is exactly why it gets paid.

Done if

  • A real trade went in start to finish in under a minute, timed.
  • The note says what you decided, not what the market did.
  • Today's day review is marked, trade or no trade.
